Fishing Tips

The patchy ground mark at Bayards Cove is well known for its Thornback Ray and also recognised for good winter flounder action. In addition, the chance of a cruising Bass is also a real possibility.

A reasonable cast will get you out of the shallows and over the drop off into significantly deeper water.

Simple running ledgers or rough ground Pulley rigs baited with peelers or softies work well for the rays, however fishing light with small hooks loaded with peeler cocktails (squid/rag etc) will put you in the running for Bayard's other offerings.
