Despite my lack of reports recently, the shore fishing sessions have still been going ahead and what a month July has turned out to be!
It's been all about the Bass - in fact, I can’t ever remember another month when the Bass fishing has been so good.

Rather than head up to North Devon again, we night-fished closer to home at East Portlemouth, a popular fishing mark on the Salcome Estuary.
With good tides and such promising weather, things looked good. As it panned out, however, it proved to be an evening of mixed fortunes.

By anyone’s standards, our recent SWSF get together North Devon proved to be a rip roaring success. The fishing was superb, the weather was excellent and, most importantly, it marked the first session where a group of anglers who’ve joined our SWSF network have proposed a mark, met there, shared their knowledge on it and subsequently fished it together.
My thanks go to Jay, Ben, Gary and Ivan for all making the evening a complete success. With such good company and great fishing, I can’t wait to head out on the next trip!
